At Espacio Harley-Davidson Barcelona we organize certified Basic Life Support and Hemorrhage Control training sessions together with Rescuebike / Emergencias Zona Risk, at their training facility in the Zona Franca of Barcelona, combining theory and practice.
Recognizing cardiac arrest, activating the chain of survival, performing quality chest compressions, using a defibrillator (AED), and responding to airway obstructions. The training also covers the recovery position and CPR protocols for adults, children, and infants. Most of these emergencies are witnessed — early intervention by whoever is nearby can make the difference between life and death.
Identifying different types of bleeding and recognizing those that pose a life-threatening risk: direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet use, hypothermia control, airway management, and chest wound care with occlusive dressings. Special focus on the IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) — arterial hemorrhage is one of the fastest causes of death in trauma, and for motorcyclists, with full exposure, the risk is high.
